KABBISH- A POT JEWELLERY

Sustainability is important for many reasons. Jewellery is often associated with treasure – gold, gemstones, valuable materials and it is considered to be objects of intrinsic beauty. I prehistoric times, long before humans worked metals, jewelery was made of non precious materials. Jewellery was an early form of decorative art. Jewelry is as old as humankind. Whether coming from a primitive culture or modern civilization regardless of material and style, humans of both genders and all age groups have the need for personal adornment. In prehistoric time jewellery wasn’t only ornaments rather it means of communication. Hierarchy, prestige, power expressed through it. Now a days the creativity of goldsmith is boundless. Pottery, one of the oldest and most widespread of the decorative arts. Like all other handicrafts and crafts, the tradition of pottery making in India is very old. Pottry is one of those where pottery artist express their emotions. In prehistoric period, this art has been one of the most beautiful forms of expression.  A piece of pottery has a visual message in its shape and colour. Pottery is the most sensual of all arts. The potter occupies a unique position in the craft traditions of India. The potters are wonderful masters of their trade. Jewellery is symbol of prestige, wealth and power. It is ability to highlight personality and bring out best features when wearing right jewellery for the right occasion. In the full of world of fashion, people used to follow costume jewellery. Today people prefer fashion jewellery than fine jewellery to highlight their personalities. Jewellery basically represents fashion trends and tradition and we may say social status. Trending ornaments always give you an extra opportunity to go one step ahead. Generally jewelries mostly used by women occasionally which is symbol of femininity. Gorgeous ornaments always made a lady confident and pretty. It is women proud. Trending ornaments are best traditions to store wealth. In the marriage even men use jewellery.

Well,
No one likes to gain weight, unless it’s of jewelry! Something that doesn’t need any definition, and is known to be the most loved and valued thing ever, jewelry often takes our imagination towards Gold, Diamonds or Platinum. But interestingly, during the pre-historic period, it was brought into existence, making it with the other non – precious materials. It used to categorize people based on their hierarchy or power, in other words, it acted as an identity of the people belonging to a specific group. Nowadays, it is mostly associated with the intrinsic beauty and social status, something that brings out the best in someone when the right one is selected for any particular occasion. It enables the person to be confident and to stand apart.
‘Kabbish’ is where the people believe in the concept of uniqueness and they are rooted to their traditions as well, giving rise to the first ever traditional jewelry with a twist. The blend of ornaments with another age old concept of ‘Pottery’. Their well-known ‘gagri’ collection is inspired by the traditional ‘gagri’ a humble terracotta pot used to store water, which speaks of the age old terracotta tradition. Nowadays where people go gala over the famous imported jewelry brands, Kabbish has its own place not less than any other popular brand, rather even better in some aspects, that values and stick to their tradition, and also remain thankful to the teachings of our Indian soil. Taking this concept ahead, they have achieved some remarkable milestones till now and also have been appreciated by many renowned ‘Johris’ who could identify the ‘Heera’ in their ‘one of a kind’ designs. Yet this seems like just a beginning for them!
We the story tellers, Amruta (Nector) and Vaishnav (Devotee), keeping in mind that pottery is an art which resembles the ‘nector’ stored in pots carried by the ‘devotees’ to touch the soul of god and lead to the path of heaven. Considering this beautiful concept, we feel proud to talk about the importance of pottery and fashion trends with beautiful jewelry and take a look worldwide to reach out to the society through our BLOG. Also we feel delighted to have witnessed the collection of Kabbish which only reminds us that creativity has no end.
‘Pottery’ too has its roots quite strong being in existence since long, it is closely associated with the routine life of almost every person. Let it be ‘water - storage’, for various rituals while worshipping or in a marriage ceremony. A piece of pottery has a visual message in its shape and colour.
